Rita confides in Rozena saying she doesn’t think Pradeep will be returning home. She didn’t believe him when he said he’d never had an affair with Siobhan. Pradeep feels he’s not been respected by the family since he married Rita and has always felt unappreciated.
Kuljit and Jodie arrive at the gym to find it closed so they go for a jog instead. They bump into Sean on the way and he’s confused when they tell him the gym is closed.
Carrie informs Mushtaq there is someone at the office claiming to be the Head of Marketing. Mushtaq finds it’s Rozena who is trying to create a new job for herself at the football club. Rozena informs Mushtaq that if he wants her expertise on how to market a successful brand such as their star player Liam then he needs to give her a job. Mushtaq tells her it’s a deal as long as his other businesses don’t suffer.
Kuljit takes a break from jogging and promises to cook dinner that evening but Jodie tells him he doesn’t have any food in his flat. She tells him Pradeep will be moving into his flat and he has until tomorrow to move his stuff out. He practically spends most of his time at her place anyway so it makes sense for them to live together. They can save on rent and bills and possibly save a deposit for a place of their own one day.
Sean turns up at the Chauhan’s and asks Rita if Jai is around. The gym is locked up and there are irate punters outside blaming him even though he doesn’t work there anymore. Rita tells Sean she drove Jai far away from Silver Street and then he disappeared at the motorway service station when she nipped to the loo. She also tells him she didn’t know Jai was his father because if she did she wouldn’t have been angry when she saw Sean with Roopa and she certainly wouldn’t have accused Pradeep of having an affair with Siobhan if she’d known. Sean tells Rita there was a time when he was desperate to know who his father was and now he just wants it all to go away. Rita feels the same and wishes she had her old life back. But it doesn’t seem there is much chance of that happening now.
