After a night away Sean turns up at the Golden Crown determined to open up the pub as long as Siobhan stays out of his way. Sean continues to ignore Siobhan but Brian tells her not to rise to it and to let him get it out of his system.
Rita tells Roopa that everything will be OK. Roopa protests that her mum doesn’t have a clue - Sean might be her brother, or even her cousin and she fancied him. What if something had happened between them? Rita reassures her it was nothing but a crush and Roopa wasn’t to know. None of them did. Rita goes for a walk in the park and Jai calls out to her. She tells him she wishes he were dead. Jai tells Rita to do her worst. What is she waiting for? Only there’s a long queue of people waiting to hurt him. Jai tells Rita he’s messed up big time and he’s been using the gym as a front to launder money. He’s been unable to meet the deadline and can’t pay back the money in time. He’s a dead man walking. He should have left Silver Street last week with Siobhan as planned.
Brian finds Sean hiding in the cellar smoking a spliff. He joins his nephew and tells him he’s not the only one who’s had a tough time. Siobhan has made mistakes but family is important no matter what you think of them. Siobhan is annoyed when Brian and Sean finally make their way back from the cellar and she tells them she had to shut the pub by herself. Siobhan begs Sean to listen and not to walk away from her. Sean agrees.
Rita asks Jai if it would have made a difference to him if he’d known Sean was his son. Jai says he doesn’t know and can’t think about it right now. Does she know the thugs were in her house the previous week? They threatened to hurt Rita and her children. Rita offers to drive Jai far away from Silver Hill so she and her family are no longer at risk. Rita doesn’t want Kamla finding Jai in the house and leads Jai to the car.
