Mary is stressed about not having Christmas decorations up in the pub yet. Siobhan walks in and Mary says she plans to spend some time with Hannah today before the wedding as this is her first Christmas with her. Siobhan doesn’t seem too thrilled with this idea but doesn’t argue.
Sway is trying to coerce Gramps into performing at the senior club party at the leisure centre. Gramps accuses him of using emotional blackmail but then changes his tune completely when he discovers Kamla will be there.
Over at Bradys News Kamla is fretting about what to get Mary for a wedding present and flicks through catalogues for inspiration. Mary grabs the catalogue and wonders why Kamla is looking at things like a ‘Double Snuggle’ suit. Mary teases Kamla about her sharing it with Sway’s grandfather. Kamla is horrified and admits she was thinking of getting it for Mary and Bill. Mary hopes married life will be more exciting than that!
Zak chats to Sean as they fit locks on the bedroom doors as a precaution after the Chauhan burglary. Zak says he is off do the same at Nadia and Sway’s place. Later Zak tells Nadia that he is spending Eid with Talib and his Uni friends. He awkwardly invites Nadia to come too. Nadia is surprised but doesn’t reject the idea. Zak jokes he only asked her because he needs someone to cook the rice.
Sway and Kamla fall about laughing when Sway turns up dressed as an elf. Sway tells Gramps he only came to let him know everything is set for his rehearsal. Gramps reckons singing for over seventy years is rehearsal enough. Anyway where’s Nadia? She wouldn’t want to miss his starring role – or Sway’s! Gramps goes down well with his audience and then announces his next song goes out to a very special lady. She knows who she is!
Elsewhere Sean and Siobhan decorate the pub together. Sean tells he it means a lot that she’ll be here for Christmas. They could even make a few changes to place whilst Mary is on honeymoon. Sean tells Siobhan he is relying on her to which she replies she isn’t going anywhere….
