Pete is on the phone to a friend from his boxing days. He tells Siobhan that he’s just turned down a tour reunion in Australia because of the gym, pub and shop, besides he has no money. Siobhan explains that Mary has plenty of help and he could always get a loan. He needs to experience something, break free before it’s too late.
Siobhan offers to make Hannah lunch but her gran has already made her some. Hannah gives short answers to Siobhan’s questions as she is doing arithmetic given to her by her gran. Siobhan asks her if she fancies going to the park or for a walk along the canal. Hannah is not interested and walks off to get her sums checked by her gran.
Kamal puts up a curtain rail for Zenab and chats about how Imran is doing. Zenab explains that he’s in Milan and loving it. Kamal seems to know a lot about Milan through books and he also mentions the two football teams that they have. Zenab is impressed by his knowledge.
Mushtaq heads over to see Jaggy and has bought Kesar a teddy bear. Mushtaq gets straight to the point, he asks him if he would like to be a coach to Silverhill Rangers.
At the pub, Siobhan has her hands full. Mary has taken Hannah to the park. Pete arrives and tells Siobhan that Jai has approved his leave for Christmas and he’s thrown in a Christmas bonus to help fund his trip abroad. Siobhan can’t believe what she’s hearing.
Mushtaq tells Zenab that he reckons Jaggy will accept his offer. Kenny calls Zenab saying Mushtaq is trying to get through to him. Zenab explains he has bad reception but he wanted to tell him he has a new coach on board. Kamal is on top of a ladder and hears that Zenab is talking to a Kenny. He goes pale, the penny drops and he tells Zenab that Kenny Lester is Darren’s father. Zenab says he was attacked by Darren not Kenny but Kamal explains Kenny gave him money to change his statement, could this get any worse for Zenab?
