Kuljit asks Sway if he knows of any good acts who could play at the café. Sway suggests Qasim’s mate Abyan – a Muslim rapper. Kuls isn’t sure about the type of crowd Abyan’ll attract. But even though he doesn’t like the idea of a cafe full of Muslims, Kuls doesn’t want Sway to think he’s prejudiced – so he books Abyan on the spot.
Meanwhile, Mary is screening a classic Silverhill Rangers match in the Crown – when Rangers won the regional cup in 1978. As new Rangers owner, Mushtaq enthusiastically attends. Jaggy’s at the pub and is keen to talk football, but Mushtaq finds it hard to keep up with the all the jargon Jaggy uses. Jaggy offers him some coaching advice, and Mushtaq assumes Jaggy is fishing for a job. He tells him he’s already got a Manager in mind. Offended, Jaggy says he wouldn’t lower himself to Conference level anyway.
When Jodie listens to Abyan’s CD she doesn’t like what she hears – every line goes on about Islam. She doesn’t want a preacher in her café. Kuljit tells her she’s being prejudiced; she should be more open-minded like he is.
On his way to the pub, Jai runs into Krishan on the street. Krishan shows his uncle his expensive new phone and tells him about the business he’s running – writing and selling school projects. Jai’s impressed with his entrepreneurial nephew.
In the pub Jai relishes the opportunity to tell Mushtaq what an investment disaster the Rangers will turn out to be. Mushtaq tells him the Jilani Empire is just about to get a lot bigger, Jai can watch from the sidelines.
