Zenab and Rozena are going shopping and Mushtaq is driving erratically. He explains that he is late for a meeting. Rozena says she didn’t see anything in the diary but Mushtaq says it was last minute. As the two women get out of the car Mushtaq speeds off leaving Rozena feeling suspicious. Zenab suggests they concentrate on spending some money.
Simran is rushed off her feet with Diwali bookings when her mum rings. Surinder says she is actually calling about Diwali too. Simran and Kesar should come to London for it. Simran says she hasn’t made any plans yet but Surinder interrupts saying she is looking forward to seeing them on Friday and then hangs up. Later Jaggy gets the same from his mum who assumes they are all coming to Bury this year. Jaggy also tries to object but Gurpreet won’t let him get a word in and suggests she’ll call Simran herself. Jaggy talks her out of it saying he’ll break the news to Simran himself. Later Jaggy and Simran talk about the messy situation they are in. What on earth are they going to do now?
Elsewhere a stressed Mushtaq is telling his bank manager he was sure he is in the clear. The manager responds saying it’s all a bit tight and there are huge risks involved. Mushtaq must act quickly if he doesn’t want to lose out but first Farouq needs to go through all the Jilani financial records. Mushtaq says they had better get moving then or he risks losing everything!
Rozena is trying on evening dresses and Zenab tells her not to worry about the price. Rozena needs to look the part if she is accompanying Sameer to business functions in Dubai. Later Zenab suggests it’s a bit revealing and maybe a bit too pricey after all. Rozena reminds Zenab of what she said earlier! After shopping they meet Mushtaq at a restaurant but when they get there he is engrossed in paperwork. To Mushtaq’s horror Zenab hands out menus telling Rozena to order whatever she likes regardless of the price. During the meal Mushtaq gets a call and moves out of earshot. He secretly confirms to the other party that he spoke to his bank manager this morning and that it really is touch and go. They need to meet up urgently to set up a contingency plan…..
