Shazia fills Rita in on her conversations with the Turlingtons, unaware that Rita is completely oblivious to the whole saga. She inadvertently gives away that Arun funded the whole venture, leaving Rita wondering where the money came from.
Arun and Danyal bicker about whose fault it was that everything went wrong. Arun’s annoyed that Danyal’s getting away scot free whilst he’s ended up losing all the cash. Danyal breaks it to him that they still need to find money to pay the damages. Seeing Arun’s despair Danyal tells him to forget it, he’ll sort out the damages. Arun’s relieved and the pair decide that’s it, the business is over.
Krishan and Ryan are not concentrating in IT class. They’ve got more important business to sort out. They need a new supply of CDs for their homework scam. The teacher notices them chatting and makes Krishan stand up for the rest of the lesson, embarrassing him in front of the whole class. After the lesson, Ryan holds Krishan back. He’s spotted a stack of CDs in the teacher’s drawer and as soon as they are alone he acts as lookout while Krishan stuffs the CDs into his bag. They have a narrow escape as the teacher comes back in and tells them off for hanging around.
When Arun gets home he finds a welcoming committee waiting. Rita and Pradeep demand to know where the money came from. Arun tries to wriggle out of it but Jas tells him it’s no use pretending … they already know Jai gave it him. Jas tries to stick up for Arun but Rita doesn’t want to know, Arun is in big trouble. Why is Jai responsible for every problem in their family? Kamla tries to smooth things over but makes things worse when she lets slip that Krishan has been to see Jai too. Rita blows her top and Kamla decides it’s time to come clean. She tells them all about the flat and shows them a cheque that Jai’s given her. Rita gasps when she sees the figure on the cheque. Jai’s paid back everything he owes. Kamla tells her he’s trying to make up for his mistakes and it’s about time Rita accepted it.
