Have your say

Arun helps Zak carry some paint into the house. Zak asks if Arun wants to stay and help but Arun say’s he can’t. He is expected home for Rita’s Navratri party. Later Arun gives Rita tips on how she could have organized things better but is told not everything is a money-making opportunity. Uncle Rajan shouts out for more food and Arun asks why they invited him. Rita says he is family and heads off to the lounge. Arun tells Kamla that Uncle Jai is family but Arun can’t see him anywhere!

Qasim is heading back to London. He tells Sway he prayed for him today but Sway isn’t the only one suffering. At least he has people around. Poor Zak has been alone since his family went to Pakistan. Gramps enters and asks why Sway is collecting dirty twigs in the bathroom. Qasim explains they are Islamic toothbrushes otherwise known as ‘miswaks’. Gramps wishes he had know that before he threw them in the bin! Later Qasim tries to persuade Sway to go and make his peace with Zak. Sway turns up at the Akhtars and offers to help Zak with the decorating. After some awkward conversation Zak says he knows why Sway is really here. He puts Sway out of his misery saying he doesn’t know if Nadia is coming back. Maybe Sway should just move on.

Kamla introduces Rajan to Gramps as her friend from the walking group. Rajan laughs asking why they would walk when they get a free bus pass. Gramps decides to have a go at the Navratri dancing but Rajan retorts Gramps wouldn’t know the first thing about it. Arun reckons that sounds like a challenge. Kamla thinks Gramps is a natural as Rajan blames his own poor performance on arthritis. In the midst of all the chaos Jai turns up. Rita discreetly tells Kamla to get him out of here but Jai is already starting to mingle with the guests. Rita returns to the kitchen where Rajan suggests she kick Jai out. Rita decides that’s exactly what she is going to do and marches Jai to the front door saying he isn’t welcome here. Jai reminds her he is family but Rita doesn’t think so….
