Kamla arrives at the pub with a box full of homemade snacks. Gramps offers her a sample of his punch. Kamla says she shouldn’t but accepts a glass anyway because Gramps is upset that Sway won’t have any. Just then Sean calls for quiet because the happy couple has arrived. They walk into the pub and Mary gasps in surprise to see all her friends gathered there.
Simran tells Jodie that Kesar is missing Jaggy, asking where he is all the time. Jodie wonders if Simran is missing him too. Simran admits that she misses him being around but she’s moved on. They could never go back, not with their history. They spot Sway and Jodie’s shocked at the state of him. Simran reckons it’s hardly surprising with everything that’s happened, especially with Nadia leaving for Pakistan today. Jodie is shocked, she didn’t realise they were going today, and she’s pretty sure Sway doesn’t know either! Jodie finds Sway in a corner and breaks the news to him. He’s distraught and rushes out the pub to find Nadia.
Sean turns down the music to make a speech and has everyone in tears with the lovely things he says about his Gran. Mary tries to respond but is too emotional so Bill steps in announcing he’s the luckiest man in the world. Then the music goes back up and Gramps whisks Kamla onto the dance floor.
While everyone else is partying, the Akhtars are preparing to leave for Pakistan. Nadia is still unhappy about going and dragging her heels. The taxi arrives and Zak helps them load up. He says a tearful goodbye to his mum and dad and looks around for Nadia. She comes out of the house and drops a bombshell – she’s not coming with them! Khatija is furious, this will kill Pervaiz. Does Nadia want his death on her conscience? She refuses to listen to Nadia’s protestations and orders her into the taxi slamming the door behind her. The taxi drives away with Nadia sobbing inside as Sway runs round the corner, too late. He shouts to Nadia as he watches it disappear but his cries go unheard.
