Zenab visits Peer Sahib. She’s desperate to help Imran and wonders if the Peer can make a thaveez to protect him. He agrees but asks Zenab what else is troubling her. It all tumbles out, Imran’s drinking, Rozena’s marriage problems, her own problems, it’s never ending. She persuades Peer Sahib to find out if they have been cursed. He asks Zenab to come back later with four fresh eggs, one for each family member. Zenab rushes off and quickly returns with the eggs. Peer Sahib boils them then breaks them open. Zenab is distraught to see that they are all black inside, she knows it’s a bad omen. Peer Sahib confirms her fears; they have been cursed by someone who is jealous of them. He can see it is a woman that Zenab knows who lives close by. Zenab gasps; who else could it be? It must be Khatija!

In the café a large crowd is gathering for the unveiling as Roopa and Bina trip around in their high heels offering drinks and canapés. Simran is aware that Jaggy seems down and wonders if it’s because the last time they attended an opening at Pumpworks he was the star attraction. Jaggy’s got something else on his mind though and tells Simran about the trial he’s been offered. Simran congratulates him half-heartedly as he reassures her he’ll be home every weekend to see Kesar.
Jodie has been wondering what the hold up is and pops her head round the door. Kuljit doesn’t want to alarm her and tells her he’ll be ready in a minute. After fifteen minutes though there’s still no sign of Kuljit and Jodie pops in again only to find him in a state of panic. Jodie takes in the situation and tells him to calm down and keep trying to contact Sway; she’ll keep everyone entertained. It’ll be ok, they’re in this together.
