Kamla, Mary, Bill and Gramps set off on a walking group outing. Gramps shows off his flashy new trainers. As Kamla and Gramps go on ahead, Mary and Bill hang behind a little to spend some time alone. Kamla enjoys being out in the countryside and Gramps suggests next time they should bring a picnic – just the two of them. Kamla is confused; why wouldn’t they include the rest of the group? As they reach a steep climb Gramps takes Kamla’s hand to help her which doesn’t escape Mary’s notice. Bill tells her to stop imagining things and concentrate on them. It’s time he bought her a ring. Mary tells him he should sort it out himself. It’s not long before Gramps’ new trainers are giving him blisters and he can’t go any further. Kamla, Mary and Bill head off to the pub for some lunch leaving Gramps rubbing his poor feet.
Pervaiz comes home from hospital, tended by Khatija. He feels terrible about starting the fire and is worried that Khatija will be put off by his scars. Khatija tells him not to worry though, it doesn’t matter to her what he looks like as long as he’s still her Pervaiz. She mentions the possibility of going to visit his brother in Mirpur but Pervaiz is against the idea.
Mushtaq thinks he’s come up with something that he could do for Nadia, but he knows Zenab won’t to like it. He sits her down before announcing that they should consider the possibility of Imran marrying Nadia. Zenab thinks Mushtaq has lost his mind, Nadia will turn into her mother before long. Would he wish that on Imran? Mushtaq decides it’s time Zenab knew how messed up Imran is, he’s taking anti depressants. He’s not exactly a good catch! Zenab is shocked and as soon as Mushtaq has gone she makes a phone call but who is she asking for help?
Kamla, Mary and Bill return to find Gramps has disappeared. As they look around wondering where he can have got to, a barge sails by full of girls on a hen night drinking champagne. The three of them are left open mouthed as they spot Gramps surrounded by all the girls, with a glass of bubbly and wearing angel wings!
