Roopa is keen to sort out the requirements for her and Bina’s performance at the launch. Kuljit can’t get a word in as she bombards him with questions. Finally Kuljit sits her down and breaks it to her gently that they are not quite what he’s looking for. The girls drown their sorrows in a milkshake about what they’ll be missing. This could have been their big chance. Jodie overhears and offers them a chance to be at the opening – as waitresses. The two girls shriek with delight. It might not be the break they hoped for but at least they’ll be there!
Mushtaq is with Pervaiz at the hospital when he wakes, in a lot of pain and coughing. He tells his friend how sorry he is for what’s happened - now and all those years ago. When Pervaiz has settled, the pair reminisce about when they lived together in a cramped, shared house. Mushtaq remembers the night that Pervaiz covered for him, working a double shift, the night he had the accident. Pervaiz protests its all in the past but Mushtaq still feels guilty. He wants to know what he can do to help. Pervaiz says there is just one thing – if he doesn’t make it, he wants the best for Nadia.
Sway finally calls at the studio to see Kuljit. He takes in all the new equipment and is blown away – it looks amazing. Kuljit gives him a quick demo and Sway laughs to see Kuljit doing what he always wanted. Kuljit looks at him and says it could be the two of them again. Sway is taken aback. He tells Kuljit sorry, he can’t let the Parkside down, he’s let enough people down lately!
Khatija gets a tip off from a well meaning ‘friend’ who has seen Nadia with Sway. When Nadia gets in from work, late, Khatija tackles her straight away. She can’t believe Nadia could do it – hasn’t she put them through enough? Nadia tries to explain that she had to see Sway, it was unfinished business. Khatija tells her daughter she’s got no self respect. She says Nadia won’t upset Pervaiz again, carrying on like that. As soon as he gets out of hospital Khatija is taking him away from all this – to Pakistan.
