Pervaiz and Zak are at the mosque. Pervaiz is upset and tells Zak that people are staring at them but he’s not worried, they are his friends. Zak disagrees. Pervaiz reckons Nadia should go to Pakistan for a while so that she is out of Sway’s reach.
Shirley gets frustrated with Sway. She just wants him to talk to her but he gets angry, saying if she had been at the Shahada, she would have seen what happened. Shirley says the Akhtars look down on anyone outside their own faith and she can’t be the understanding and accepting one all the time. She is entitled to the same concerns for her child too. Sway says his doubts let down Nadia and her folks. Shirley disagrees, he was just true to himself.
Vinnie closes Saffron Rays after a busy night without Kuljit. Mani mentions that he’ll have to get used to it as he has told Kuljit to pack the job in to concentrate on his studio and even he is going to record some music for the studio launch, maybe even a live set on the night. Vinnie’s surprised.
Khatija is worried about Pervaiz who’s not been himself. Zak suggests that for one night they don’t talk about Nadia’s situation. Khatija says she’ll stop talking but she’s still thinking about it 24/7 and storms to bed. Zak asks Nadia if she’s ok but it’s clear she’s not. Nadia takes hot milk into Pervaiz who is sitting in the dark. He asks her whether she has been seeing Sway when he told her not to? She was spotted by someone at the Mosque. She admits she saw him but not on purpose. Pervaiz just tells her to go to bed, their family is finished.
Vinnie tells Mani that someone has taken a shine to their installation but as he is chatting, he spots smoke coming from the Akhtars house. They race over to the house and try and get everyone to get out. The smoke is coming from downstairs and they hear Pervaiz’s cries of pain who is severely burnt. Zak drags him out and they are all distressed, coughing and panicking. As the Paramedics arrive, Pervaiz is unconscious.
