Sean tells Zak that Mary saw Sway and Nadia arguing last night. Apparently Sway looked rough but Zak reckons he doesn’t care. Pervaiz turns up to tell Zak he is going to pray at the big mosque in town tonight. He can’t face going to their usual one because of what Sway has done.
Zenab is preparing food for the first day of Ramadan tomorrow. Imran has gone to see his solicitor about the forthcoming trial. Kamal is gardening and Zenab shouts to him eat something. Mushtaq reckons he is doing more staring in space than gardening. Zenab tells him to show some compassion. Kamal lost his brother this time last year and has bigger things on his mind than weeding!
Over at the Golden Crown Sean and Bill help Mary prepare for a hen night booking. Bill offers her a cocktail but Mary reckons she had more than enough to drink last night. Bill asks if she remembers what her fortune cookie said. Mary responds saying she vaguely remembers. Later Mary tells Bill all his talk about weddings last night has got her thinking there are worst things she could do! Bill asks what Mary would say if he asked her to marry him. Would she turn him down again? Mary says she wouldn’t and then realises what she has just said. She has actually agreed to marry him. Bill kisses her as the pub customers applaud.
Mushtaq and Kamal discuss how it feels to lose a brother. Mushtaq invites Kamal join him and Imran for prayers at the Heatherton Wood mosque tonight. Kamal thanks him but says he will attend the local one in Silver Street to pray with Pervaiz and Zak. Later Mushtaq and Zenab are worried about where Imran has got to when the phone rings. Zenab rushes to answer thinking the worst but it turns out to be an employee wanting the day off tomorrow. Despite Zenab’s protests Mushtaq decides to search Imran’s room for evidence that he is still drinking. He opens a drawer and to his horror discovers Imran’s drinking is the least of their problems….
