Pervaiz discovers Khatija has approached his boss to request time off for him. Pervaiz is sick of people making decisions for him. Later Khatija tells Nadia she has never seen him like this. They discuss Nadia’s sudden influx of beauty bookings. Khatija reckons people want all the gossip about Nadia and her ‘black man’. Nadia reckons she doesn’t care.
Bill sees Kuls throwing stones at Sway’s window and jokes about Kuls getting arrested. Kuls suggests Sway might be in London but Bill reckons Mary spoke to him earlier. Bill is late for dinner with Mary but Kuls insists on coming too. Maybe Mary can give him more news. It turns out Bill got the wrong end of the stick. It was actually Sway’s boss Syed that Mary spoke to this morning.
Sway rings Nadia and manages to suggest they meet up before she hangs up on him. He decides to head over to the Akhtars. Khatija goes crazy when she sees him and starts swearing. Nadia tries to calm her mum down and get Sway to leave but he refuses saying he needs to explain. In all the commotion Pervaiz ends up having a coughing fit. Khatija slaps Sway telling him he had better leave now or she’ll phone the police. A furious Nadia bundles Sway out of the house.
Mary and Bill are finishing their meal and are given fortune cookies. They break them open to discover Mary’s says ‘your patient heart will be rewarded with a wedding’. Bill jokes the cookie never lies and Mary tells him not to get any silly ideas. Imagine a wedding at her age! Later Mary and Bill can’t agree on how a wedding should be and Bill jokes it’s a good job they aren’t doing it. They’d never make it up the aisle at this rate!
Sway tries to explain why he couldn’t go through with the conversion to Islam but Nadia tells him to save it. She doesn’t need him in anymore. Sway refuses to believe her but Nadia says it’s the truth. Sway begs for one more chance but Nadia isn’t falling for that one again. No way!
