Kamal has been to the Akhtars and seen how upset Pervaiz is. He finds Nadia in the park but she pleads with him not to tell her parents so Kamal takes her home with him instead. Nadia wonders aloud what she did wrong. Kamal is insistent; she is a kind, intelligent, beautiful person. Nadia misreads his intentions and pulls away but Kamal is hurt she could think he would take advantage like that. He admits he still has feelings for her but he is also a good friend. Nadia apologises for getting it so wrong but maybe Kamal was right all along. If they had got together, Kamal could have got his citizenship by now and her parents would have had the wedding they wanted. Kamal points out that it could never be that way because Nadia doesn’t love him; she loves Sway.
