Krishan arrives home full of his new school. He’s joined every club and society going and is still going on about it to Jas when her phone rings. It’s Nadia and she needs to see Jas desparately. Jas meets her at the barge and Nadia fills her in about Sway’s disappearing act. She’s been ringing him ever since he ran out of the Mosque but his phone’s switched off. Nadia reckons he’s gone to London but can’t understand why he won’t talk to her. Jas urges her not to give up on him but Nadia is worried that it’s really her he’s trying to get away from.
Meanwhile Sway is still trying to explain to Qasim what happened. He tells his friend how he felt faint, his head was thumping and then he realised; he had doubts. He couldn’t go through with it feeling like that, it would be disrespectful to Islam. Qasim admires Sway for his principles. Just then a couple of thugs approach them and start laughing at Sway’s outfit. When Sway retaliates the thugs start hurling racist abuse about Muslims. Sway loses his temper and swings at one of the thugs. In the ensuing brawl Sway’s Shalwar Kurta rips and Qasim pulls him away trying to calm him down. Sway realises he needs to get away…now. He dashes back to the flat and hurriedly throws some clothes into a bag. Qasim tries to persuade him to ring Nadia but Sway won’t, what could he say to her?
Mushtaq is watching a dreadful match at Silverhill Rangers but he’s really only there hoping to ‘accidentally’ bump into Shazia. Sure enough before long Shazia spots him and comes over. They reminisce about the good old days when Silverhill were winning trophies. Mushtaq explains that Imran used to go to matches, but he was always to busy to take him. Now Imran’s really suffering and Mushtaq doesn’t know how to help him. Mushtaq tells Shazia how he did a lot of thinking while he was away. Both his brothers were such livewires, always planning the next big thing. He remembers how he used to be like that himself but he changed a long time ago, stopped taking risks. He tells Shazia he’s had enough of being cautious. So she challenges him – what are you going to do about it?
