Zak, Arun, Sway and Sean celebrate Zak’s birthday at the bowling alley. Zak asks how Arun’s business is going. He reckons Danyal should have the gay market covered. Arun is startled, he didn’t think Zak knew about Danyal. Zak had wondered why Arun always changed the subject when Danyal’s name came up. Sean and Sway tease Arun that maybe he was hiding something else, that’s why Mindy dumped him! Arun puts a stop to the teasing by telling them about his night with Sonia when he invited Danyal over. He reckons Danyal must have finally got the message. Sean is amazed at Arun’s behaviour; that was a low stunt to play. Arun reckons he’d feel differently if a guy had the hots for him! Zak and Sway head off for Zak’s birthday dinner at home. Zak asks if Sway’s okay, he’s been quiet tonight. Sway’s not saying anything yet though.
Kamal calls on the Akhtars as they finish preparing Zak’s birthday dinner. Pervaiz invites him to join them but Kamal says he can’t stay; he’s just called to give them something. With that he hands over an envelope. Pervaiz thinks it’s a card for Zak and is confused when Kamal says, no, it’s for you. Pervaiz opens the envelope to find a wad of notes, it’s Kamal’s first wages. Pervaiz protests that they can’t accept it but Kamal says his father always told him he would be blessed if he gave his first wages to a respected elder. Pervaiz is touched by the gesture and tells Kamal it is a precious gift they will always remember.
Nadia has laid the table with the best china and when Zak and Sway arrive they all sit down to eat. Sway decides to get it over with and tells them he has an announcement. Khatija reminds him this is Zak’s day but Zak encourages him to go on. Sway takes a deep breath and tells the Akhtars he’s decided to take the Shahada next week. Pervaiz, Khatija and Zak are all delighted at the news and excitedly start making plans. They can start planning the Nikah too! Nadia and Sway pull them back though, they can’t go ahead with the Nikah until Sway’s family are on board.
