Imran’s cooked for Rozena and the two of them have a cosy dinner. Rozena apologises for neglecting Imran lately but he tells her she shouldn’t worry. Rozena is still annoyed though that everyone knew about Imran’s drinking before she did. Imran laughs as he realises that’s what’s bugging her, not the fact that he was drinking! Rozena laughs with him as she see’s his point but protests that he should have come to her first. She could have helped him. Imran tells her this is something he needed to sort out for himself and he’s taken the first step, he’s got an appointment with the doctor tomorrow.
Sway arrives at the Mosque to meet Qasim. He’s nervous and hopes he doesn’t show Qasim up. Qasim says he’ll lead him through the prayers. As they both wash before praying Sway confides in Qasim that he couldn’t have the Nikah straightaway like Zak wanted. It would alienate his family even more. Qasim is delighted though as realises that this means Sway has decided to take the Shahada. Qasim embraces Sway and the pair go off to pray. Afterwards Sway is sure he messed up the Salaat-ul-thasbee. Qasim reassures him that everyone finds it hard at first. He just needs to keep practicing and he’ll soon impress the in-laws. Sway’s having trouble thinking of the Akhtars like that but it gets him thinking and he wonders if they should combine the Nikah with a civil marriage after Ramzan. Maybe his folks would turn up to that. Suddenly Sway’s mind is made up and he decides to head back to Silver Street to tell Nadia the news.
Sway phones Nadia from the train and she says she’ll meet him at the station. Sway can’t wait any longer though and he blurts out that he’s decided to take the Shahada next week. Nadia is stunned by the news. She starts to cry as she realises he’s serious. Sway is doing all this for her. Nadia tells Sway how much it means to her and how much she loves him. She just can’t wait to tell her mum and dad!
When Jodie closes up she pops next door to find Kuljit still struggling to put the desk together. Jodie can see the studio coming together though and says it’s all down to their dads’ generosity. She tells Kuljit she was talking to Mani about the studio earlier. Kuljit wonders if they talked about anything else. Jodie senses something’s up and tells Kuljit if he’s got any doubts he should say so now.
