Kuljit struggles to build an isolation booth in the studio. Jodie is having more success with a flat pack desk. As he drops another glass screen Jodie offers to swap jobs and hands him the allen key.
Arun makes the most of his freedom with the volume on his sound system turned up to the max. He turns it down to make a call and we hear him inviting someone over for a romantic dinner; but who’s at the other end?
Danyal calls at Jodie’s café. He wants some cake to take round to a mate’s. Simran pops in with Kesar to see if business is ok after closing for a week. Jodie says it’s picking up but the noise of drilling is still putting people off. She just hopes the sound-proofing will work. Simran gives Jodie a progress report on Beauty Magic but wishes she could set up her new business straight away, her heart’s not in the salon anymore.
Arun opens the door and lets Danyal in. Danyal hands him the cake and Arun offers him a drink. Just then, a girl wanders in dressed in Arun’s dressing gown. It’s the girl Arun chatted up at the Mela. Arun tells her to give them half an hour to talk business and kisses her passionately. Danyal crossly asks Arun why he asked him over if he had a girl there. Arun airily apologises saying he must have lost track of time and gets down to business. Danyal is concerned that Arun isn’t involving him. Arun explains that he’s the one who’s put up the money so he gets to make the decisions. Danyal protests that he’s providing the contacts so Arun tells him to get on with it, get his mum’s contacts now. He tells Danyal it’s not personal, it’s just business. It might as well be Jai talking!
When Jodie closes up she pops next door to find Kuljit still struggling to put the desk together. Jodie can see the studio coming together though and says it’s all down to their dads’ generosity. She tells Kuljit she was talking to Mani about the studio earlier. Kuljit wonders if they talked about anything else. Jodie senses something’s up and tells Kuljit if he’s got any doubts he should say so now.
