Have your say

Zak calls on Sway and tells him what a great time they had at the cricket, and celebrating afterwards! Zak enjoyed hanging out with Arun again, he hadn’t realised how much he’d missed his friendship. As Zak helps tidy up after the Mela Sway says he’s been reading about Lailat-ul Barah and how beautiful it sounds; the night when destinies are written. Zak suggests maybe that is the time Sway should embrace his own destiny, and take the Shahada. He could even have his Nikah with Nadia at the same time!

Sway thinks about what Zak said but it’s only two days away. Sway decides he needs a bit of space to think before he takes the Shahada so he phones Qasim and arranges to spend Lailat-ul Barah in London with him instead.

Rita and Pradeep are loading luggage into the car. Krishan has packed travel chess, scrabble and sudoku but Pradeep drew the line at his chemistry set. Just then Jai strolls down the drive. He reminds Rita it’s Raksha Bandhan and asks how she can leave without giving him a rahki. Rita hasn’t got time for his games and refuses to bite. Kamla tries to make peace by asking Rita to just tie one rakhi on Jai’s wrist. Rita ignores her and bustles everyone into the car, it’s time to go. Arun waves them goodbye but as he goes back in the house Jai follows close behind. He makes straight for the fridge and helps himself to food that Kamla’s left for Arun. Arun protests but Jai ignores him, asking how the business is going. He encourages Arun to take control. He’s got all the power now he’s put up the cash. All Danyal is bringing to the table is his mum’s contacts.

Later, Jas calls round to check on Arun and is furious to find Jai making himself at home. She pulls Arun to one side and asks what he thinks he’s doing. Arun protests that Jai has changed and wants to make it up to them. Jas suddenly clicks that Arun has taken money from Jai. She demands to know how much it cost to buy him off!
