Rita and Pradeep announce that they’ve changed their minds about the holiday and are taking Roopa, Krishan and Kamla with them. Kamla is miffed, feeling they don’t trust her to look after the children but Rita’s worries are more about Jai. Krishan is annoyed as well, he was looking forward to a week without his mum and dad. They will only get back two days before he has to start at Heatherton Grammar and there’s still so much to do! Kamla says she has to go and let Sway know she’s going away but instead of heading for Parkside she makes straight for Jai’s apartment.
Rita warns Arun that just because they are going away he needn’t think he can run up the phone bill and hold wild parties. She also tells him not to invite any girls over, unless he makes it up with Mindy. Krishan pipes up that Mindy’s got more taste than that and asks Arun who was the girl he saw him chatting up at the Mela.
Mushtaq and Dr Masud settle in for a day at the cricket. The play is slow so they discuss the fortunes of Silverhill Rangers, the local football club. Mushtaq is shocked to hear that they are facing receivership. Dr Masud comments that he thought Mushtaq was more a cricket fan but Mushtaq explains how he became interested in football during the last World cup. Thinking of Shazia He wistfully mentions how he watched a lot with a friend who taught him the offside rule. Dr Masud has no idea he’s referring to Shazia and tells Mushtaq how his daughter is football mad and will be at the next match on Wednesday.
Kamla tells Jai about the holiday and how Rita is only making her go to keep her away from Jai. Jai reckons she shouldn’t let them push her around like that, Kamla should stop sneaking around. There’s no way Jai’s going to let Rita keep him away from his Ba!
