Mushtaq can’t sleep, so he knocks on Imran’s door to see if he’s awake. Imran is still up but he hurriedly hides his vodka bottle before calling his dad in. Mushtaq can smell the alcohol in the room though and tells Imran if he’s going to drink then there’s no point pretending. He searches through the drawers until he finds the bottle; he’s tired of all the secrets. They chat for a while, with Mushtaq recounting stories of his little brother and their childhood. He sighs when he thinks how much has changed in Pakistan. It’s late so Mushtaq heads off to bed but before he goes he pleads with Imran not to throw his life away because of guilt.
Siobhan and Jai visit an old haunt; the bandstand in the park. Jai has bought a few bottles of wine to help the party along. They reminisce about old times and Jai quizzes Siobhan about her ex lovers. He teases her about being married and settled. Siobhan defends herself but she hints that life isn’t that exciting these days. Suddenly she’s the old Siobhan again as she cries ‘Sometimes being sensible makes me want to scream’ and lets out an ear splitting scream. The pair head off to an old warehouse they partied in many years ago. Jai dares Siobhan to walk across the beams. Siobhan is feeling wild by now and ready to take any challenge. They both drunkenly tackle the walk and Jai tells Siobhan about his ‘meet’ with Krishan earlier. Then they head to the canal where they sit dangling their feet in the water. Siobhan screams out loud again to see if anyone comes to her rescue. Jai wants to move on and suggests they climb on the roof of the warehouse. Soon they are both clambering up and then Siobhan is spinning around wildly, she calls to Jai that she wants to dance. Jai laughs along with her but he’s concerned that she’s too near the edge. Jai sobers up rapidly as he realises Siobhan is out of control and in danger. Just then the roof begins to cave in; Jai shouts to Siobhan to come back. She’s within inches of plunging to her death but she’s exhilarated by the risk as Jai pulls her back. Siobhan laughs in his face – who’s ‘safe and boring’ now Jai!
