Kuljit’s in the unit taking measurements when Vinnie comes asking for help with the partition event. Kuljit tries to put him off but Vinnie reminds Kuljit that he’s covering loads of his shifts. Kuljit sighs and agrees to help. He goes through to the café and Jodie suggests they grab an early lunch as they missed breakfast. Kuljit reminds her that was her fault because she wanted a birthday cuddle! Anyway, he can’t stop now as he’s got too much on. Jodie’s disappointed as he’s working tonight as well. Kuljit asks her to come to the studio as soon as she can because he needs some help measuring up. When Jodie gets there she finds the unit in darkness and calls out to Kuljit. As if by magic the unit lights up with fairy lights, romantic music starts to play and Jodie sees the romantic birthday lunch Kuljit has laid on.
Rita calls to see Rozena. She’s sure Kamla knows more than she’s pretending and asks Rozena if she’s seen Kamla at the apartments. Rozena says she hasn’t, but then she’s not been around much.
Arun looks for Mindy at the Parkside but finds Vinnie instead. They discuss the partition event and Vinnie describes the art installation he’s planning. He’s delighted when Arun understands where he’s coming from but he’s not surprised, with Arun being the way he is. Vinnie is talking about Arun’s music but Arun misunderstands and suspects Mindy has been discussing the night at the gay club with Vinnie. Just then Mindy comes over and suggests a picnic in the park. Over lunch Mindy starts talking about fantasies. She probes Arun for any crushes he had when he was younger. Arun’s confused and wants to know what’s on her mind. Mindy admits what’s bothering her – the gay club, pretending it was Danyal’s idea, is Arun trying to tell her something? Arun blows his top, is she getting a kick out of making up some big drama, imagining her boyfriend is gay? Well he’s not gay and he doesn’t need all this – he tells Mindy that’s it, they’re finished!
