Rita has some precious spare time and decides to catch up with Rozena. She’s confused when it seems her friend is trying to avoid her and asks Rozena what’s going on. Rozena had been hoping Rita would find out about Jai’s apartment from someone else but she has to break the news herself. Rita’s furious and storms round to Saffron Rays. Pradeep’s busy but Rita tells him she wants him back home to confront Kamla with her…now! Pradeep organises things in the kitchen and rushes home where Rita quickly explains about the apartment Jai has bought, apparently for Kamla. They both wonder if Kamla knows about it.
Jaggy calls for Jai ready for a run but he finds Jai in an agitated state. He shows Jaggy an anonymous threatening letter he’s received. Not only that, his car’s been keyed as well. Jai’s not in the mood for a run anymore and sends Jaggy packing. Jaggy goes back to his apartment deflated, he’s not in the mood anymore either. Simran reckons Jai’s having a bad influence on him. Jaggy’s missing his old running partner, Sameer. Simran says it would be a nice gesture if he took a house warming gift round to Rozena now she’s back in the apartment. Jaggy reluctantly takes a plant round. Rozena is touched by the thought and invites him in for coffee but Jaggy escapes when her phone rings.
Kamla’s been recording her memories of partition. She gets home to find Rita and Pradeep waiting to tackle her. Rita dives straight in telling Kamla she knows about the apartment. Kamla just babbles on about her interview. Rita repeats herself more forcefully so Kamla can’t ignore her. Kamla pretends, unsuccessfully, to be surprised at the news and hurries up to her room before Rita can grill her. Rita’s sure her mum is hiding something, but leaves it. One thing’s for sure, she‘s not going to let Jai rule her life anymore so him being in the building won’t stop her visiting Rozena there!
