Shazia is alarmed by the smell of burning in the kitchen. She calls out to her dad who reminds her he isn’t deaf. Shazia pulls something out of the oven but the doctor denies it is burnt saying he prefers his food extra crispy. Shazia scolds him for eating so late but apologises when he points he is perfectly capable of looking after himself. Dr Masud stubbornly eats his food despite Shazia’s offer to cook something else. Shazia says she and the boys are worried as he has been really forgetful lately. Dr Masud can’t believe she is suggesting he is losing his mind and puts her out of her misery. He has been behaving strangely is because he is secretly smoking. It was all to throw her off the scent.
Mindy thanks Danyal for inviting her and Arun along to the club night but Danyal corrects her saying it was Arun’s idea. Danyal is surprised Arun chose a gay night though. Arun grabs Danyal saying they need to check out the DJ in the basement. Mindy gets dancing with someone called Steve who fancies Danyal. Steve assumes Danyal and Arun are together as they’ve been inseparable all night but Mindy says Arun is her boyfriend. Steve is puzzled. Why would her straight boyfriend organize a night out and make out it is his gay friend’s idea? Mindy changes the subject suggesting they hit the dance floor again.
Dr Masud needs a stroll to get away from Shazia’s nagging. He runs into Pervaiz and tells him Shazia thought he was losing his marbles so he confessed about his secret smoking. He’ll get even less space from her now. Pervaiz says Khatija is the same now she isn’t working. They decide there is one pleasure that can’t be taken away from them and light a cigarette.
Mindy and Arun are in an alley at the back of the club where she confronts him for lying to her. Arun says they are here because he is researching venues as part of the new business. Mindy asks if that’s why he has spent the whole night with Danyal. Arun thinks she is jealous and suggests they risk a ‘quickie’ adding they’ve never done it outdoors. Mindy says they need to talk but Arun says talk is for later and kisses her………..
