Sway tells Mindy off for making the Partition event so big. They have more than enough on their plate with the mela. Mindy points out it means a lot to the elders in the community. They have been helping Vinnie create an art project about it. Sway eventually backs down and compliments Mindy on everything she has achieved. He reckons he also has enough money to keep her on for a few more weeks. Later Mindy is disappointed when Arun calls to say he can’t make their date tomorrow night. He has to meet Danyal in a club for a business meeting and can’t really say no. Arun reckons the night will be much better if Mindy comes along. She eventually agrees saying she could do with letting her hair down.
Mushtaq reckons Rozena has lost weight and suggests Sameer isn’t looking after. He asks how long Sameer will be in Dubai but Rozena changes the subject. Mushtaq tells her it was awful discovering Imran’s drinking problem. It makes Mushtaq feel like a failure. Rozena reassures him it’s not his fault. Rozena tells Mushtaq that Jilani Stores should re-open soon. Maybe Rozena should be around Silver Street more to keep an eye on things? It might be best if she moves back into the canal side apartment for a while. Mushtaq thinks it’ll be good for her to be there when Sameer gets back from Dubai too.
Pradeep gets good news about the City Farm. The council have proposed a suitable area for it. Rita says she’s glad his plans are moving along. Pradeep tells her Siobhan rang earlier. He reckons she has really changed for the better. Rita reminds him he wasn’t saying that a few months ago.
Rozena confronts Brian about keeping Imran’s drinking a secret from her. Brian reminds Rozena she has enough on her own plate already. Rozena reminds him she can handle things and is stronger than her mum and dad put together. Brian starts goading her about Sameer going to Dubai. Is it work or something else? Rozena says she has had enough of this. She tells Brian to keep away from all of them and storms out slamming the door behind her.
