Sarah and Sway pour cat litter in the tray and argue over it. Nadia tells them she tried to get Gramps to go to hospital but he kept changing the subject. Sway says when he thinks he’s not looking, he sees him in pain. Shirley just keeps cooking and that’s what she does when she is worried. Sway takes some food in for Gramps but he doesn’t want any. He just wants some water and for the curtains to be closed. Kuljit bumps into Sarah and is shocked to hear about Gramps, why didn’t anyone tell him?
Jas asks Vinnie to help out with the Partition event, they need to create an art installation. Vinnie says he has got a job and his collages at home are not for the Parkside Centre to make judgment on. What he does is not everyone’s cup of tea. He says he will be a consultant though and suggests using projections. Nadia walks in and says she will never forgive herself if anything happens to Gramps, he came to see her parents and make peace, her mum can exhaust anyone.
Sway visits Gramps who has been sleeping. Gramps says he’s got no fear of dying. Sway insists he is not going to die. Gramps explains they are cast from the same mould and he wants him to be happy. Sway says he wants him to be well so he should go to hospital but Gramps argues that Pearl went there and never came out, he’s got God and that’s all he needs. He asks Sway to make sure he is in his best suit, hat and glasses when he meets Pearl again. He explains that they have the same blood running through their veins and what worries him is that he’s got time with other people but not him because their heaven and gods are not the same. That’s why he’s been scared about Sway converting to Islam. Sway gets upset. Gramps says family is all they have, he wants Sway with him, he can’t get any peace without knowing that.
