Have your say
Dr Masud visits Gramps to check him over. He has bruising but Gramps hides the chest pains and when Sway mentions them to Dr Masud, Gramps accuses Sway of telling everyone his business. Gramps tells Dr Masud that he won’t be going to hospital to catch MRSA, he’s staying put. Dr Masud thinks Sway should have called the ambulance, Gramps can’t take chances at his age. In the distance, Gramps is shouting out, he knows they’re talking about them.
Arun is really pleased that Mindy is covering Sway in the Parkside and suggests they put the desk to some use by catching up. She asks him if he’s sure he doesn’t want to see Danyal instead as they were together all night at the graduation dinner. Arun says he’s just buttering Danyal up, its just business.
Pervaiz tells Dr Masud that he can’t believe Gramps collapsed. Dr Masud believes none of us can last forever so they should enjoy themselves while they can and offers Pervaiz a cigar.
Sway nips into the Parkside and Mindy has good news, he’s got the funding he applied for, for the Partition event. Mindy says she’d call them back but couldn’t find the paperwork for it. Sway has meaning to do something about it but all the paperwork is in his head. Mindy is shocked, it’s only 3 weeks away. Mindy tells him to leave it to her, much to Sway’s relief. Arun walks in with a kebab for her and Mindy is stressing about having to organise an event to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Partition. She has an idea, she needs to hold a meeting for the over 60’s and starts on the posters to publicise it.
Gramps is being grumpy, he doesn’t want to watch TV or read and winces in pain now and again. Sway tells him Shirley and Sarah are on their way to collect him and bring him some clothes. Gramps just wants his cat, Winston with him at the end. Sway reassures him that he’ll be fine, he’s got plenty of years left in him.
