Rozena drops Zenab off at the Jilani Stores site on her way to see Sameer. When she gets to the apartment though Sameer is out jogging. Sameer soon comes back breathless from his run and lets them both in. He sends Rozena to make coffee while he showers. Sameer comes back toweling his hair dry, still wondering why Rozena has called. Rozena explains she was shell shocked by his announcement about the job in Dubai and before he goes she wondered if he’d like to use the tickets he gave her, and go to Wimbledon together.
Jai catches up with Pete at the pub and offers him the job of running the gym. Pete’s interested but he wants some time to think. Jai tells him not to hang around, he’s in hurry and when Pete offers him a drink on the house he tells him to owe him one. On his way out Jai bumps into Zenab at the site. He immediately sees an opportunity to get at Pradeep as he whisks Zenab off for a coffee. His outrageous flattery has Zenab eating out of his hand, telling her exactly what she loves to hear about her wonderful business skills. He steers the conversation round to the City Farm. Jai tells Zenab that if there’d been something like that around when he was a kid he might not have gone off the rails. Zenab doesn’t know Jai well and thinks he is genuine so when he offers the City Farm some funding she is over the moon.
Pete tells Siobhan that Jai is the new owner of the gym and that he’s offered him the job as manager. Siobhan is wary and tells Pete to be careful; she knows what Jai can be like from Rita. Pete’s not worried though, he can handle Jai.
Zenab can’t wait to tell Imran the news but she’s upset when Imran puts a damper on it. He knows how dodgy Jai is and warns his mum that the money might be dodgy too. Rozena reckons Imran’s got a point and Pradeep is definitely not going to be happy when he finds out…
