Dr Masud is heading out dressed for a day at the cricket until Kamal points out that the one-day international is tomorrow! Dr Masud is embarrassed by his silly mistake but Kamal cheers him up suggesting they watch the highlights of another match on TV. When Dr Masud goes upstairs to change Kamal rings Chunky to tell him he won’t be able to take the job at the Chaat House. Khatija finds an excuse to call on Kamal so she can have a nose around at Dr Masud’s. She’s hoping for some gossip but the two of them are obviously getting on well and she leaves disappointed.
Kamal swallows his pride and goes to see Tariq again. He wants to pay his way at Dr Masud’s and he needs Tariq’s help to find work where he’ll be invisible. Tariq makes him squirm for a while but eventually agrees to help him.
Jai turns up at the Chauhan’s doorstep like a bad penny. Kamla is stunned to see him but she collects herself asks him in for some tea. But when Jai starts stirring trouble straight away Kamla loses her calm smashing the mug she’s holding. She demands to know how he could desert her that way. Hearing the smash Arun comes downstairs as Kamla rushes out upset, telling Arun to get rid of Jai. Arun lays into Jai as well but Jai easily wheedles his way round Arun, saying he’s going to pay all the money back. Arun soon falls for the lines, especially when Jai offers to back Danyal’s business with Arun as his partner. They are sealing the deal as Rita comes home; she’s livid that Jai is in the house and orders him out. She can’t believe that Arun and Kamla seem taken in by him yet again. Rita goes out to the garden to cool down. Kamla follows her to clear the air, she assures Rita that she hadn’t invited him over and that she won’t let him in again. Rita calms down but she can’t help wondering … what the hell is Jai up to now?
