Jas gets her exam results and is delighted with her 2:1. Kamla gives her a bracelet. Vinnie calls Jas to congratulate her, he’s got something special lined up for her.
Kamal is cleaning the windows that haven’t been cleaned properly by the window cleaner. Rehan’s unsure about Kamal. People will think their granddad has moved him in as a paid helper and he tells Danyal that he’s heard Chunky has offered him a job. He’ll be seen by the public and someone could grass him up. Danyal thinks they should tell him that he can’t do any cash in hand work if he wants to live there. Rehan feels sorry for him but Danyal thinks he’s taking liberties, he even wore his clothes.
Roopa is convinced that she has done badly on her GCSE’s. Jas thinks she’ll be fine but Roopa reminds her that she walked out of one of her exams. Jas gets ready for Vinnie whilst Roopa teases Jas about their slow burning romance.
Kamla takes down all the posters of the gym as they’re offering OAP’s discount membership and this will ruin things for her walking club. Rita asks her what she will do about all the leaflets that have been dropped in people’s houses? Kamla decides she then needs to organize a boycott of the gym.
Vinnie takes Jas into the countryside and lays out a picnic. Jas kisses him on the cheek. Vinnie explains he would have loved to go to Art school, he used to visit galleries but tell his dad he was at footie practice. He even had an exhibition of his work and had to sneak out the house to be there. When his dad saw the local newspaper had a photo of him, he beat him. Jas wants to see some of his work but Vinnie has burnt them all.
Rehan makes Kamal a tea and tells him that if he takes the job at Chunky’s, his mum and grandad’s reputation will be at stake if he gets caught. Kamal insists he will be careful, his family need the money.
