At the police station, Rita is becoming more annoyed with desk work as she is translating leaflets. But PC Higgins reminds her that it is an important part of the job. Later, Jas calls her and Rita begins to tell her that being stuck in the office isn’t helping her confidence. Jas convinces her to tell PC Higgins how she feels and that honesty is indeed the best policy.
At Saffron Ray’s, Kamla does her best to persuade Mani to attend the next public meeting for the City Farm. Meanwhile, Vinnie tells Jaggy that he saw Sameer driving a drunken Imran into Silver Street, thus, breaking his parole. Mani then quickly drags Vinnie away and warns him that if he hears him spread any more gossip about Imran, he will give him the sack. Later, Kamla overhears Vinnie boasting to Jaggy that he is going to have the upper hand over Mani. Instead of meeting a potential supplier he is going to attend the IIFA ceremony. Vinnie has no choice but to take Kamla to the Bollywood award show, or else she will tell Mani the truth.
Later, Sameer is horrified to learn that Vinnie has been spreading the news that he’s been helping Imran to break his parole. Jaggy understands that Sameer was only helping his brother-in-law. Then as talk turns to Rozena, Sameer reflects that his parents keep asking how long the trial separation is going to last. Sameer tells Jaggy that he is contemplating his law firm’s offer of returning to work in the Dubai office.
Rita tells PC Higgins that she begins to feel purposely sidelined. She has spoken to another translator who has been busy with field cases. Rita insists that she has learnt from her mistakes with the Nathwani case. It has made her more aware of her role and responsibilities. PC Higgins agrees, he doesn’t doubt her ability. However, he promised Pradeep that he would keep Rita off the more dangerous jobs. Rita is stunned that to learn that her husband has gone behind her back.
