Have your say
Dr Masud pops in to see Imran at Zenab’s request but she has to apologise as Imran is not there. Dr Masud says they have to make sure that Imran doesn’t go down the destructive behaviour route, like alcohol, drugs and depression. Dr Masud notices Kamal in the garden and thanks him for calling the police the night of the burglary.
Shazia is on her way home to make a fuss of her dad and bumps into Jas. Shazia asks Jas how the journalism is going but Jas has doubts about it. Shazia agrees, she used to find herself questioning the ethical side of the job more, maybe she could go into researching for political life instead. Jas seems interested.
A drunken Imran turns up at Sameer’s flat but Sameer warns him to get out of the Silver Street area, he’s breaking his bail conditions. Sameer makes coffee to sober him up.
Shazia cooks at home for Dr Masud, she is worried about him when she’s down in London and he’s here alone. It’s not a safe area anymore especially with all the lads hanging around, he should at least change the locks. She suggests he move to London but he refuses to go anywhere, he is protective of his independence and she is treating him like a child. In his stubbornness, he refuses to go to bed and listens to his music.
Imran tells Sameer that he grew up in Silver Street, people respected him, now he has become a fugitive. Sameer reminds him that they could both get into trouble if he’s gets caught in the area, it’s too risky. He drives Imran home in the rain. Sameer has to swerve the car whilst Imran tries to wipe the windscreen. In the process, they nearly knock Vinnie over who immediately recognises Imran. Sameer is annoyed, he told Imran to get down, by shouting at the locals and Vinnie of all people, the word will get round. Sameer tells Imran he will be straight back to prison if word gets out and as Vinnie didn’t see him driving, this time, he’s on his own.
