PC Higgins gives Rita a lift home from work. Rita mentions that she bumped into the new interpreter and it sounds like she’s doing really well. PC Higgins is glad she’s done all the training upfront. Rita wonders if she could ride along next time and ease her way back into the heavier stuff but PC Higgins gets distracted whilst driving and ignores her.
Arun bumps into Kamal who is off to see friends. Arun is nervous as he’s on his way to DJ at the XS radio station but they are both stopped by Dr Masud who thinks he heard burglars upstairs. They see the culprits running off and Arun chases them but loses them.
PC Higgins irritates Rita by saying that it’s the 4th time they’ve nabbed Mrs Singh for shoplifting. Rita thinks she was confused but PC Higgins believes she’s old but not stupid. Rita can’t feel sorry for everyone. Rita says she’s not naïve, she made one mistake, that’s all.
Dr Masud is shaken up. Kamal looks after him and suggests hot sweet tea which his mum said was good for shock. PC Higgins and Rita arrive at Dr Masud’s and tell Arun off for chasing the thieves, they could have had knives.
Dr Masud thanks Kamal, he was lucky they were walking past. PC Higgins notices Kamal is comforting Dr Masud and wonders who he is. Kamal informs the Police that he has checked upstairs and it appears they haven’t taken much, just left it in a mess. PC Higgins is a bit abrupt and hopes Kamal hasn’t touched anything, he would have disturbed the finger prints. Also, Higgins tells him not to disappear without giving him his details. Rita takes over from Kamal so Kamal just leaves. Higgins asks Dr Masud how long he has known Kamal and is annoyed that Kamal has gone without providing his details.
Kamal goes to Miloska’s and tells her, he has money, he approaches her and pushes her onto the bed.
