Sway gets a lecture from Syed about his fight with Kuljit. Sway explains things got out of hand because Kuls told his family Sway is converting to Islam. Syed says it is going to require an apology to the Parkside Committee. He realises Sway is going through big changes and will continue to support him but not if it affects Parkside’s reputation.
Jodie doesn’t pick up on Kuljit’s aloofness when she tells him she finished things with Neel. Kuls pretends he didn’t know and asks how Neel took the news. Jodie says Neel understood but doesn’t tell Kuls he took it so well because he was seeing someone else anyway.
Nadia gets a call from Shirley who asks how Sway is. Nadia jokes he’s fine because he has her to tend to his wounds after the fight with Kuls. Shirley has no idea what Nadia is talking about and demands to know exactly what happened. Shirley reckons she needs to get here to give them both a piece of her mind.
Sway is typing his apology when Jodie turns up to tell him about her and Kuls. Sway asks what happened to Indraneel and is told it’s over. He accuses Jodie of being on the rebound. Jodie decides she is wasting her time and leaves just as Sway’s mobile rings. It’s Tracey from London who tells him they are planning a surprise 60th birthday party for Shirley. All the kids Shirley fostered over the years are invited so can Sway tell Kuls seeing as he was one of them. Sway doesn’t think that’s such a good idea!
Later Kuls confronts Jodie about not telling him about the call to Neel and storms off. Jodie concludes Sway must have told him and marches back to Parkside. Sway is on the phone to Sarah wondering why Shirley is leaving messages about his new religion making him so angry. Nadia turns up and when he ends the call she confesses she told Shirley about the fight. Sway reassures her it’s OK as Jodie storms in. Sway denies telling Kuls anything but Jodie accuses him of using Islam to be all ‘purer than pure’ and storms out leaving Nadia to console him…..
