Jas pops round to see Nadia who tells her Sway recently confessed to having a past one night stand with Jodie. Jas reminds Nadia it was ages ago and that Sway converting should be enough proof of his commitment. Sway turns up as Jas is leaving and tells Nadia they need to talk. The Imam has spoken to Sway about his living arrangements not being very Islamic. Nadia says they are practically married anyway. Sway says that’s just the point – they’re not! She should move back in with her parents for a bit. Nadia protests but then realises it might be the right thing to do. She’ll head over and tell them now.
Khatija gets home for lunch after a shift at the shop. Pervaiz asks if Mary has forgiven her yet for spreading that rumour about Jaggy and Simran getting married. Khatija reckons it was an easy mistake to make and then tells Pervaiz she ran into Arshad’s aunty earlier. Things might not have worked out with Nadia but he’s married now. Pervaiz says they just have to work with things as they are now and at least Sway is looking into Islam. Pervaiz prays daily for a way out of all this.
Bill drops off Mary’s reading glasses saying he found them on the bedside cabinet. Mary admits she is worried about this day at the fair to meet her granddaughter although it isn’t Hannah who is the problem it’s Siobhan! Bill thinks Mary is over-reacting but she says there is a part of her that still doesn’t trust Siobhan. Bill reckons Siobhan just wants to make amends but Mary tells him he has no idea what Siobhan is capable of!
Nadia breaks the news to Pervaiz and Khatija and they assume she is moving back because she has split up with Sway. Khatija’s joy is short lived when Nadia explains the real reason. Once Nadia has left Khatija tells Pervaiz it looks like his prayers have been in vain. Pervaiz suggests that perhaps they are being answered in stages….
