Kuljit is filling the optics in Saffron Rays and Jodie wonders why he is working so hard. He thinks he owes the place especially when he had so much time off when his dad went missing. Sameer goes to see Imran who is out so chats to Rozena instead. Sameer says that he’s noticed that Jas’s visits must be doing Imran some good. Rozena’s not so sure, she tells him everything about the street and it just makes him feel more isolated. Sameer agrees, it must be hard hearing about the Parkside when he’s not allowed to go anywhere near it and changing the bail conditions will be a non starter.
Brian is surprised to see Imran in a pub away from Silver Street. He buys Imran a drink and is shocked when he downs it in one and then asks for another.
Kuljit rings Neera to thank them for the card but Amrit doesn’t want to come to the phone. Apparently Rajvinder has not been there either. Kuljit then gets annoyed that Vinnie has been doing things wrong and Jodie tries to calm him down, those things aren’t that important.
Imran is still drinking in the pub and says he used to go there in his student days. He’d give anything to have a pint at his local and misses it but he’s banned. He even misses buying a paper from Khatija and then asks for another large vodka.
Kuljit is working frantically and fretting about the things that Vinnie has done wrong. Jodie makes him sit down and thinks he needs time out for himself, he’s been through a rough patch. He starts to break down, he’s spent so many birthdays without his dad and it’s the same again, he didn’t even sign his card, he’s got noone. Jodie holds him so he can let all his tears flow.
