Pradeep is pleased to see Rita so relaxed after her meeting yesterday. He then asks why she is so dressed up as he didn’t think she was working today. Rita says she just felt like it. Later Rita leaves a message on Hilary’s phone. She can’t remember what time she is meant to be doing the student talk but will get there early.
Wahid has got some DVDs for when Danyal arrives later. He wishes Rehan was also coming today, he can’t remember the last time everyone was here together. Shazia hopes they won’t be under his feet for too long although the builders at her place sound like a bunch of cowboys.
Imran and Jas are spending the day together. Jas says she is meeting her flatmates for food later and tries to persuade Imran to join them but he declines.
Shazia gets a call from Lynne who wants her to visit the woman’s refuge to see how much it has changed. She also wants Shazia to see how their shelter is under threat due to the funding crisis. Shazia promises to check her diary and get back to Lynne later.
Danyal asks his mum and grand-dad if they have any plans over Easter. Shazia says she is working in a way because Lynne wants her to visit the refuge. Danyal says he remembers Lynne as a bit intense. Is she still like that? Danyal later tells Shazia his relationship with Mark has ended. He couldn’t see his Grand-dad approving anyway. Shazia reckons Wahid is quite open-minded. Danyal wishes his dad was. What would he say if he knew his son was gay?
Rita walks in on Hilary in a compromising position with one of his students. Hilary tells her he has been helping the girl with personal problems. Rita accuses him of doing the same with her and gets angrier when Hilary suggests he can’t act on his feelings for Rita because she is married. Rita says goodbye and storms off.
Imran is at the off-license when he gets a call from Jas. He pretends he is at home settling down to a movie. Once off the phone he tells the shop assistant he would be happy to take them up on the two for one vodka offer…..
