Pradeep shows Rita the information he has received about setting up a city farm but she dampens his enthusiasm. Pradeep wonders why she is suddenly against the idea. Rita reckons its funny how everything Pradeep does in positive and exciting but it’s different when it comes to her. Pradeep changes the subject by offering to go with her to the meeting with the Superintendent. Rita doesn’t need Pradeep to hold her hand and suggests he concentrate on his animals instead.
Jaggy is exhausted after his jog and Simran suggests he never used to get so shattered before. Jaggy admits he is out of shape, there’s no need to rub it in. Jaggy asks what all this paperwork on the coffee table is anyway. Simran says it’s all to do with the insurance claim. She isn’t even sure she wants to open the salon again. It always felt like a safe place before but thanks to the fire that feeling won’t come back despite an insurance payout.
Rita’s interview with the Superintendent doesn’t start well. He reminds her it is completely unprofessional to give a client her personal number. To make matters worse she disregarded police orders and ended up endangering her life. Rita gets emotional trying to defend herself but admits following her heart instead of head. She will never do it again. Later Rita learns she will get a second chance but only because the police need good Asian interpreters.
Simran is taking Kesar to the doctor’s about his cold. Jaggy leafs through a magazine featuring wedding picture of one of his old football pals. Jaggy reckons they look ridiculous. Simran doesn’t think there’s nothing wrong with wanting a fairytale wedding but Jaggy isn’t convinced. Later Simran bumps into Mary and they have an awkward conversation. A disappointed Mary realises she won’t be seeing much of Kesar now Simran and Pete have split.
Rita throws her arms around Hilary who says he is really pleased for her. Rita reckons it’s nice to hear someone say that genuinely unlike Pradeep who just pretends to be supportive. Hilary wants Rita to do a presentation to some of his students. Rita is unsure but Hilary convinces her that she would be perfect for the job. Will she do it?
