Customers at the pub are raving about the temp last week but Sean claims he can’t remember which agency they used. Mary reckons he had a crush on the girl but Sean is mortified at the suggestion. Later, Mary discovers the ‘mystery temp’ was Siobhan and confronts Sean for lying. Sean says they didn’t tell her because they knew she would react like this!
Kamla helps Krishan rehearse for his school play. Arun doesn’t believe Krishan is off school because he is poorly. The boys start squabbling and Kamla suggests Arun help his brother instead and leaves the room. Krishan says she has been in a bad mood all morning. Later Kamla tells them she is going to the temple. Krishan thinks it would be fun if they all went but Kamla reminds him he should be getting better not having fun.
Mary fills Brian in on the trip to London but he is more interested in her sleeping arrangements with Bill. Mary decides she has had enough of Brian’s lewd talk! Later, Brian advises Sean to talk to Mary. Sean agrees and goes looking for her. He explains he told Siobhan she can be in his life but he doesn’t need another mum because he has Mary. His Gran gives him a hug and apologises for making assumptions. Sean returns to the bar and tells Brian he’s just glad Mary doesn’t know that Siobhan slept in her bed!
Arun is getting annoyed with Krishan’s over-zealousness but is saved by the bell when Danyal rings to ask why Arun took off so suddenly last week. Arun says he had things to do. Danyal says he is coming to Silver Street for Easter – maybe they could get together? Arun fobs him off saying he has a lot of college work to do.
Kamla turns up at Jas’s student house claiming she is a bit short of cash for Rita’s birthday present. She couldn’t pick up her pension because she was in London last week. Jas lends Kamla some money but doesn’t believe her for a second......
