Jas pops home for her post and finds her mum feeling down. Rita’s received a letter from the police requesting a meeting to discuss the siege. Jas tries to reassure her that she only did what she thought was best. She lets Rita know she can count on her support. Rita agrees and as Jas rushes off Rita dials Hilary’s number.
Kuljit arrives at the Court of Protection with his dad and Neera but Amrit immediately wanders off. Kuljit remarks sadly that his dad can’t bear to be near him. Rajvinder has also arrived with her son in tow. Kuljit tries to talk to Amrit but he snubs his son choosing instead to sit with Rajvinder.
The Master begins the hearing and makes it clear if any irregularities are found, the case will be referred to the police. The Master queries why Rajvinder used Amrit’s money to buy a car. Rajvinder protests that Amrit insisted she buy it to make it easier to visit him. Kuljit interrupts saying Rajvinder never visited Amrit once when he was in the home. The Master asks Amrit if he authorized Rajvinder to buy the car, but poor Amrit is so confused he can’t remember. He insists if that’s what Rajvinder says though, it must be true. Then the Master queries £6,000 spent bringing Gurmail and his family over from India. Rajvinder is ready with a story again, claiming Amrit had asked to see Gurmail. Amrit has no memory of this either. Kuljit leaps in with his trump card; the statement from Gurmail saying he has never even met Amrit and proof that Gurmail paid all the money back to Rajvinder.
