Deepak tells PC Higgins over the phone that he’s not stupid, they are lying to him to buy time.
Kuljit is looking after Roopa and Krishan but they suspect something is wrong. Kuljit is forced to tell them that Rita is being held hostage but everything will be alright.
Rita tries to calm down a hysterical Nalini and she explains to Deepak that children are precious just as his child will be. He needs to tell the Police what he has been through, he was deperate. Deepak makes Rita ring PC Higgins to get him to tell the media that he has been treated like a slave and abused. Rita makes Deepak understand that his parents will not only lose their son but their unborn grandchild too. Deepak breaks down saying he is ashamed to be a father to his child.
Outside Pradeep is beside himself, why aren’t the Police going in? He is led away by a Police Officer but he says he doesn’t want tea, he wants his wife.
Rita and Nalini try to convince Deepak that everything will be ok, if he gives up now. Deepak apologises and sobs uncontrollably when Nalini says she will be with him all the way. As he leaves the house, Rita tells PC Higgins to be easy on him. Nalini tells Rita that Deepak is in such a mess, she doesn’t know if she can be with him and goes to the hospital to see her mum. PC Higgins tells Nalini that he will be charged.
PC Higgins tells Rita that she was asking for trouble giving her number away. She could lose her job over this as she nearly got killed going into the house having ignored what she was told. He thinks she’s good at her job but her one mistake may haunt her forever. Pradeep is so relieved she is back with him, he could have lost her, then what would have happened?
