Rita tries to explain that she didn’t have the marriage she wanted, her family didn’t want her turning out to be like her brother, they all have burdens to carry. Her and her husband have a close family, they’ve worked hard but it’s never been love. Deepak says if he doesn’t do as the family says, he will be sent home with only shame for his parents and that is not going to happen.
Pradeep tells Kuljit to get going through the phone book if he wants to find Gurmail that is until his phone rings and is told that his wife is caught up in a siege situation. Pradeep leaves straightaway.

He demands that he will let Mrs Nathwani out once the media get involved, that is the deal or he will light the match. Pradeep approaches the Police and is forced to tell them that Rita made a mistake and gave her mobile number out last time.
Deepak tells Rita that if he’s in trouble, he wants the world to know why, he gets aggressive and upset and is about to light the match saying he should have burnt everything down before. Rita pleads with him to think of their baby, she is scared but tries to remain calm.
