Rita is getting Pradeep’s help on her Gujerati as she practices her talk for Harewood School which she will be doing with the Police. Arun takes the mickey out of her and thinks people will talk because the police are always parking up and coming in and out of the house. Rita goes off to answer her phone, it’s Deepak. She tells him she can’t help him anymore, he must stop calling her. Deepak explains that him and his wife want to get a council house. Rita tells him to call the housing department besides he won’t be able to get through to her from now on as she is getting a new phone.
Rita asks Arun about getting a new phone saying that she dropped her old one and the keypad has gone all funny. She then tells Arun that she needs a new number only as she keeps getting dodgy phonecalls saying she’s won competitions. Arun knows a place next to Chunky’s, he’ll sort it out for her.
PC Higgins arrives for Rita and has a cup of tea with Pradeep as he waits for her. Krishan cheekily asks which way they are going as he wants a lift in the police car. PC Higgins offers him a lift as he can see how excited Krishan is. Pradeep thinks doing a talk at the school is a great idea as they are going into the community and getting them involved. Rita’s phone rings again but she grabs it quickly before Pradeep gets to it.
Deepak calls Rita’s phone but it’s on voicemail. He tells her that he doesn’t know what else to do, he’s speaking to her in English so Mrs Nathwani can’t understand him but you can hear her in the background saying he’s wasting their money on making phone calls, she snatches the phone and Deepak breaks down.
PC Higgins lets Krishan put the siren on whilst Rita listens to her voicemail. It’s from Deepak again and things don’t sound too good.
