Simran wants Jaggy to understand that just because she’s living in his flat doesn’t mean she wants to be back in his life. Jodie suggests making it a formal landlord, tenant arrangement with a contract might bring it home. Simran thinks it’s a great idea and tells Jaggy that she wants to pay him proper rent. She wants separate food cupboards too, oh yes, and a rent book to make it official.
Siobhan calls on Rita before meeting Sean. Rita offers her leftover pancakes and laughs as she points out a stain on the kitchen ceiling from a previous contest between Jai and Pradeep. Jai was showing off as usual to make Pradeep look boring and square. After everything Jai has done Kamla still spent yesterday gazing tearfully at the stain wondering where her golden boy was. Siobhan is scornful of Jai and tells Rita that she always thought Pradeep had hidden depths.
Simran tells Jodie that although she misses Pete they both knew that this wasn’t ‘the one’. Jodie has problems of her own. She’s had an email from Neel singing the praises of some woman who’s come to work at Disti. Simran tries to make Jodie feel better saying the woman is probably ugly but it’s too late, Jodie has already looked her up on the internet and she’s a babe!
Siobhan tells Sean as much as she can about his father. She was seeing a boy called Ashish but she was also sleeping with a married man at the same time. Seeing the look in Sean’s eyes she tries to explain how things were at home with her father. He was cold and showed her no affection so she sought it elsewhere. Sean can’t deal with her confession and storms off still no closer to his father’s identity. Sean bursts into the pub upset by Siobhan’s revelations, he feels like he’ll never really know who he is. Seeing his Gran he bursts into tears and tells her he’s sorry and please…can he come home?
