Pradeep is concerned Roopa’s not taking her mock exams seriously. Roopa uses the opportunity as an excuse to do a make-over on her room to make it more ‘conducive to revision’. It’s perfect timing with Jas moving her stuff out to her student house. Jas has roped Vinnie in to help. Roopa embarrasses Jas by showing Vinnie Jas’s Gary Barlow poster. Rita joins in the ribbing making Jas cringe when she’s reminded how she cried when Take That split up. Vinnie sees Pradeep in the kitchen making pancakes and challenges him to a contest.
Nadia excitedly tells her mum about getting a driving test cancellation. Khatija wonders if Nadia will pop round at the weekend for her birthday present. Nadia says she won’t have time but hesitantly suggests her mum could bring it to the flat. Khatija’s curiosity gets the better of her and after work she finds herself at Nadia and Sway’s. She’s not over impressed with flat, especially the poorly equipped kitchen. Khatija trips over Sway’s trainers and Nadia hurries to tidy them away into he bedroom. To her horror her mum follows her and takes in the scene of the unmade double bed. Khatija sadly hands Nadia her birthday present, makes her excuses and leaves.
After a frenetic contest Roopa declares Pradeep the winner but Vinnie demands a recount as Krishan has sabotaged his pancake stack by eating loads of them. As they argue the phone rings and Rita cheerfully answers it. Siobhan is on the other end asking about Sean. He’s not answering her calls and Siobhan is sure something is wrong. She tells Rita she’s coming to see him. Rita tries to dissuade her and guiltily tells Siobhan about their conversation yesterday. Siobhan reassures her friend, it’s not Rita’s fault, Siobhan should have told Sean herself.
