Simran’s parents have arrived. Jaggy can’t believe they turned down his offer of putting them in a nice hotel but Simran says it’s nothing personal. She tells Jaggy to hold Kesar so they see him as soon as they enter. Pritam doesn’t respond when Surinder makes a reference to how well Kesar looks so Simran changes the subject and asks how their journey was.
Vinnie calls Jas to apologise and says he respects her decision to be just mates. He invites her to Parkside if only to watch Kuls makes an idiot of himself at the Youth Music event. Jas suggests they meet at 7pm and stresses it’s all strictly platonic but she will have a surprise for him. Elsewhere Kuls is disappointed he didn’t persuade Gary to take part. Gary says he is only here to support the lads. Later, Jas congratulates Kuls on getting the kids to deliver but doesn’t pick up on the sadness in Kuljit’s voice as he thanks her.
Simran tells her parents Jaggy has been great since the fire but Surinder wonders if he is taking things for granted. Pritam hopes changing nappies isn’t putting Jaggy off fatherhood. Jaggy says it isn’t and heads off to make tea. Once Jaggy is out of earshot Simran tells her parents she and Jaggy are getting on better. Surely that’s good if only for Kesar’s sake!
Vinnie is annoyed to learn Jas’s surprise was to involve him in a cookery class. Vinnie can’t believe Jas and Nadia are best mates – Jas is so precise and Nadia is all over the place particularly when it comes to driving. Jas changes the subject saying she is looking for a student house to move into. Vinnie hints he is looking for somewhere too.
Simran and Surinder are doing the dishes. Simran hopes Jaggy isn’t getting a hard time from her dad and reassures her mum that this is just a living arrangement nothing more. Meanwhile Pritam has harsh advice for Jaggy. Its all well and good playing devoted father but this is Jaggy’s last chance to do the right thing. He needs to earn Simran’s respect and trust again and marry her. Does Jaggy understand?
