Bina drags Roopa away from revision to go to the fitness session at the Gym. The only fitness Bina has on her mind though is Sean’s fit body! Roopa warns Bina that Sean has a lot on his plate at the moment and tells her in confidence all about Siobhan. Bina thinks she’s just the girl the help him.
Mary finds Pete moping around the pub. She shows him a newspaper report about two men being charged for starting the fire at Jilani Stores. They are two troublemakers Mary remembers barring from the pub years ago. Mary wants Pete’s advice, she’s fretting about her Valentine card for Bill. She doesn’t know whether to give it to him in case he hasn’t sent her one. She confides in Pete about turning down Bill’s proposal. Pete’s not in the mood to hear about Valentines and proposals though and asks his mum to give it a rest. When he explains that he broke up with Simran yesterday Mary is mortified. She thinks it’s probably for the best though, Simran’s a lovely girl but she comes with too much baggage.
Pete pulls himself together enough to go and help Sean with the fitness session. As Sean starts the warm up exercises everyone joins in, except Bina who stands on the sidelines drooling over Sean’s rippling muscles. Afterwards Pete takes the mickey out of Sean and his teenage fan club and waves around the Valentine card Bina sneaked in.
Simran’s feeling sorry for herself after being dumped. Jodie’s not around as a shoulder to cry on so she has to make do with Jaggy. He tries to cheer her up with a soppy DVD and snacks in front of the TV. Simran’s grateful for his efforts and even starts to enjoy herself until Jaggy ruins the mood, reminding Simran that her parents are coming to visit….that’s all she needs!
