Bill tries to make amends with Mary after their recent argument over Siobhan but Mary is still hurt. Does he have any idea what is like to have a drug addict for a daughter? Bill says he spoke to his son last night who described a chap at university who had a drug addiction. It made Bill appreciate Mary’s predicament. Mary reckons it’s just a shame Bill couldn’t believe her first hand.
Sameer takes Rozena home after her police interview. She doesn’t want to be there when he tells her parents about it and reckons she’ll head straight upstairs. Sameer suggests they sit quietly in the car for a while before going in.
Roopa and her friends are getting ready for her birthday dinner. Jas says it’s good to see Roopa enjoying herself again. She jokes that Rita wants Jas to move out because they don’t need her anymore. Rita turns serious and asks if Imran is the reason Jas has been quiet lately. Jas says she’s just shocked at the thought of Imran killing someone even though it was self defense.
The doorbell rings and Rita is shocked to see Mary who is here to deliver a present for Roopa. Mary later admits she is here to apologise for being harsh with Rita the other day. Rita says she knows all the stuff with Siobhan has been difficult but she is her friend too. Besides people do change and Siobhan is different now. Mary warns Rita to be careful. She would hate to see any harm come to Rita and her family.
Imran takes Rozena’s news badly. She tries to convince him it was the right thing to do. Imran angrily informs her there was no need. His solicitor already said he has a good chance of getting off on mitigating circumstances. He wants Rozena to go back to the police and tell them she made it up. She knows rape victims are sometimes treated like they are the ones on trial. Does Rozena want to put herself through that? Rozena tells Imran to calm down and promises that everything is going to be alright now………….
